Happy Easter Everyone

Greetings in the Name of the Lord,

These last few weeks have included a whirlwind of events and activities.  Since the beginning of Lent, Ash Wednesday, it seems there have been unprecedented requirements upon my schedule.  Every step of the way I have felt and received power and energy from the Holy Spirit.  Please do not misunderstand.  I thrive and enjoy an active life, especially serving God.

M11 Nazarene Conference was sufficient preparation for the events leading up to Easter.  Ashes To Fire message series have offered a perfect guide leading us to Holy week and Easter Sunday.  Will County Holiness Summit, “The Transformed Life” filled us to overflowing and prepared our spiritual awareness and ability to live and lead a Christ-like life and tell others about God’s story and redemptive plan.

The Morris Faith Community was host to “Saturday To Remember” Marriage Conference.  Couples from around the community attended and benefited by passionate speakers providing a biblical foundation and plan for living God’s covenant of Marriage between a man and woman.  One attendee said, “I have been married for 33 years and learned so much from the conference.”  Wow! What a testimony.

Membership Classes – 12 have recently joined the Living Water Church of the Nazarene by profession of faith, with another +10 joining soon.  Pre-marital counseling, stories of life changing habits and victories through Christ, new servants of Christ, and new attendees on Sunday mornings. Sunday’s annual meeting brought forth new and seasoned leadership for the coming year, all with a passion to grow God’s Church and follow His plan for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Your Pastor is approaching a significant milestone following 7 years of preparation, mentoring, spiritual assessment, affirmation of peers, and completion of 24 study requirements developed by the Church of the Nazarene. Currently, as a fully Licensed Minister in the Church of the Nazarene, Your Pastor will be recommended by the Board of Credentials to become an Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene during the Chicago Central District Assembly.  First I am deeply humbled for God’s call upon my life. Second I am once again eternally grateful for the Church of the Nazarene’s extensive process and humbled by the Church’s affirmation of that very Call.

All of this leads us into this very special week in the Church.  During last Saturday’s Ordination Interview in which MaryAnn, my wife, was at my side, I was asked a question.  “What do you like most about the Gospel message?”  Without hesitation I responded with certainty, “The fact that it [message] is for everyone!”  WHOEVER”. My prayer this week for you is that you believe this with all your being.  And that fact compels you to tell others about the One who was Resurrected and lives today.  This Easter Sunday is for those who claim Him and those who seek Him.  May they find their way to Living Water Church this Sunday.

To God be all the glory for things He has done.
