Kids’ Travel GuideTM to the Armor of God

Come and join our Children’s Pastor Ashley for a great time of fun, activities, and understanding the love of Jesus.

Although we can’t touch or see the spiritual realm, it’s as real as the rest of our world. According to the Bible, a battle rages between the spiritual followers of Satan and the followers of God. In the end we know that God will win the war, but in the meantime, our adversary, the devil, is deceiving multitudes of people, including children.
Children may imagine Satan as a red-face and horned man wearing a pointed goatee and carrying a pitchfork. Movies and cartoons may show the devil as a hideous and frightful creature, or as a goofy fool whom a clever hero can trick. Or, to keep them from nighttime fears, kids may be told that the devil isn’t real. Yet the Bible tells us that Satan is a real and powerful being who deceives, accuses, tempts, and slanders people, seeking to draw them away from God. The Bible also instructs us to guard and arm ourselves against these attacks, specifically with the armor of God.

This guidebook digs into what it means for a child to “put on” the armor of God. In an era filled with war and terrorism, children already realize there’s evil in the world. The aim of this book is to help children realize they can turn to God for protection, guidance, and comfort when fears and dangers are overwhelming. Through these lessons children will discover how they can draw strength from a relationship with God.
